12/31/04 I Am Here

It is true that on Tuesday I was admitted at about 8 PM to my room. Had chemo on Wed, Thurs and my 3rd of 4 today. What a way to celebrate New Years, a chemo coctail and a party hat. I am feeling fine, doing fine, bored of TV and will set up my laptop and speakers for my CD.s for something different. My wife and my mom both here of course do not like my music but I picked out mellow music so should be okay. Keith started this morning giving himself shots to stimulate growth of his stem cells to be removed on next Wednesday and given to me. I have not heard from him so wonder how he did. He is not comfortable doing this but he is a good brother and friend.

I hope you all have a better New Year then I.

DANA FARBER BRIGHAM & WOMEN 'S

I AM DOING WELL SO FAR, ONE DAY OF CHEMO AND A VERY SLOW DIAL UP INTERNET HERE AT BRIGHAM & WOMEN'S HOSPITAL, AN AFFILLIATE OF DANA FARBER. I PROBABLY WILL NOT CHECK EVERYDAY DUE TO THE DIAL UP SERVICE BUT FEEL FREE TO CHECK AND RESPOND IF YOU DESIRE TO.

3 MORE DAYS OF CHEMO, 2 DAYS OF REST AND THEN I GET MY BROTHERS STEM CELLS. THIS TIME AROUND THE MAJOR EFFECTS WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN WHEN I LEAVE THE HOSPITAL NOT WHILE I AM IN THE HOSPITAL. I SHOULD BE HERE LESS THAN 10 DAYS THEN ANOTHER WEEK OR 2 POST TRANSPLANT. THE FOOD SUCKS, THE STAFF IS NICE AND MY WIFE AND MOM ARE HERE FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS WHEN MY WIFE WILL HEAD HOME TO THE KIDS FOR A FEW DAYS. NEWS YEARS WILL BE A BLAST DRINKING MY CHEMO COCKTAIL AND BLOWING MY HORN. RED WILL HAVE MY PHONE NUMBER IS ANYBODY IS LOOKING FOR.

Checking In

Have set up the site for Dean to record his thoughts and updates on his continuing saga, but figured I'd break in the site so he has a clue on what to do.  Dean went to Boston on Monday, and allegedly was checked in  to the hospital last night.   More from him shortly, if I can train him well.
